University of the District of Columbia Awarded $150,000 Grant by Campus Consortium to Fund New Student Portal for Improved Student and Faculty Engagement
Washington, DC – University of the District of Columbia announces today that they are the recipients of Campus Consortium’s Enterprise Portal Grant. This Grant provides $150,000 in funding towards implementing a new student portal platform, which is designed to improve engagement with students and faculty.
The forthcoming portal upgrade is a critical component of the University’s overall infrastructure enhancement program. This upgraded technology platform will provide multiple departments throughout the University with faster customer service and better opportunities to engage student and faculty users.
“As a clearinghouse of information, there is no doubt that a new portal platform at UDC will have a significant and positive impact on the way the University shares information and therefore empowers its students to succeed, says IT manager Michael Rogers. “As an early component in the process, its impact will be substantial.”
"The Campus Consortium Grant Committee is always proud to support forward thinking institutions across the globe. We are glad to present this award to University of the District of Columbia, the only public university in the nation’s capital and the only urban land-grant institution in the United States,” states Anjli Jain, Chairman of the Campus Consortium. "We congratulate them on receiving the Campus Consortium Enterprise Portal Grant.”
